The purpose of this page is to collect and present brief definitions of terms used in texts about DecimalChain, blockchains, and cryptocurrencies. Full articles are great (that's why we started this project), but some beginners may find it more convenient to start with a simple short explanation.
Please note that this compilation is aimed at the meta-level, not the project level, so terms related to the operation of the Decimal Wiki site (e.g., "administrator", "wikification", etc.) should not be included here. To familiarize yourself with them, visit our Help section.

Blockchain — a decentralized database in which all records (blocks) are linked together using cryptographic means.

Broadcast — a Decimal service that allows creating an offline transaction and then sending it to the blockchain network.

C

Custom coin — any coin created by a user in the Decimal network.

Coin — an electronic unit of value protected cryptographically and existing in the blockchain.
