B
Build — literally means «assembly». That is, a build is the working products obtained from source code.
Blockchain — a decentralized database in which all records (blocks) are linked together using cryptographic means.
Broadcast — a Decimal service that allows creating an offline transaction and then sending it to the blockchain network.
C
Custom coin — any coin created by a user in the Decimal network.
Coin — an electronic unit of value protected cryptographically and existing in the blockchain.
Coiner — a Decimal user who issues their own coin.
Custodial wallet — a method of storing funds in which the service provider owns the private keys of crypto addresses.
Consensus — an agreement among participants in an untrusted environment.
D
Delegator — a Decimal user who entrusts their coins to a validator and receives a proportional share of the reward for it.
F
Finalization — the process of final approval of a transaction. In the Decimal network, a transaction cannot be canceled immediately after it is recorded in a block.
M
Masternode — a Decimal network node that stores a replica of the blockchain and participates in consensus establishment.
Mathematical entity — an abstract concept that arises in mathematics. It is anything that is formally defined and can be used for deductive reasoning and mathematical proofs.
Mining — a method and process of generating/emitting new coins through solving computational tasks.
Minting — a method and process of generating/emitting new coins in exchange for organizing and maintaining the Decimal network, specifically by establishing consensus through voting.
N
Native token / Native coin — the base and key coin of the blockchain.
Non-custodial wallet — a method of storing funds in which the owner of the funds exclusively owns the private keys of crypto addresses.
O
Optimization — the selection of the best option among possible ones to achieve the highest efficiency of a certain process.
T
Transaction — an information message about sending funds in the blockchain network.
Transaction confirmation — the process of approving a transaction and recording it in the block chain.
Throughput — a metric characteristic that shows the ratio of the maximum quantity.
P
pBFT — a consensus algorithm based on the process of voting for candidate blocks.
PoS (Proof-of-Stake) — a consensus algorithm among network participants based on the participant’s insurance deposit at risk.
V
Validator — a Decimal user participating in consensus establishment.
Verification — a method of recognizing conformity to truth.
