A Plexus validator was created by a programmer and a system administrator who, in addition to extensive experience in server administration and support, already has experience in creating new services to simplify and improve the work with validators in the blockchain DecimalChain.

Plexus stands out from other validators in that we dedicate our resources and time to create a free infrastructure that is freely available to all network users. We guarantee the reliability of our services as well as the stable operation of the validator. This approach is our own contribution to the development and popularization of the DecimalChain blockchain.

Projects

The validator's creator has 2 well-known projects in the community: DC Validator Notifications and DecimalCoins.

The Telegram bot DC Validator Notifications (Telegram dcnotify) is an indispensable service for owners and administrators of DecimalChain blockchain validators. Its function is to provide instant notifications about the activation or deactivation of DecimalChain blockchain validators. This service helps all validator owners to promptly respond to malfunctions related to the block signing by validators, thus avoiding possible penalties.

In addition, the bot performs the following functions:

  • Notifies about the appearance of new validators in the network;
  • Notifies about penalties received by validators.

The Telegram bot DecimalCoins (Telegram delcoins) is created for monitoring the creation of new coins and NFT in the network. All blockchain users can learn in real-time about the creation of a new coin or NFT. This function allows staying informed about new projects in the network, having the opportunity to buy a new coin at a low cost, or tracking the address from which they were created.

A project is currently under development that monitors the missed blocks of all validators over the past 7 days. The service will have its own web page where all DecimalChain blockchain validators and the number of missed blocks per day for each of them will be displayed. This service will help validator owners monitor their correct operation, and delegators choose a reliable validator in which they will not lose their rewards from delegation.

Validator technical components

Servers

The Plexus validator operates on hardware that has ample resources, designed for network development and expansion. Our infrastructure consists of a server in the Hetzner data center. The German company Hetzner owns and operates its own high-tech data processing centers, ensuring reliable validator operation without interruptions.

In addition, the Plexus validator has 2 backup servers located in different countries with different providers to ensure fault tolerance. These servers are dedicated solely to the validator and have a minimum of 75% resource capacity. They are located in the DigitalOcean and Linode data centers. The servers are located in Nuremberg, Amsterdam, and New York.

This approach allows us to assure our delegators, who entrust their coins to us, that they don't have to worry about receiving penalties from the validator.

Protection

To protect the validator, we use software provided by DecimalChain, which prevents the validator from receiving penalties. The software is installed in different data centers alongside the validator. Our validator has two DecimalGuards, providing 100% protection.

Backup

In the event of an unforeseen situation such as an accident, system failure, or any other issue, our validator has backups and snapshots in place, allowing for quick recovery and resumption of operations. Backups are performed daily, so the validator can be restored within minutes and operate without any losses.

Monitoring and incident analysis software

We are constantly improving, which is why the Plexus validator undergoes continuous log analysis. The hardware has its limitations and is not immune to software failures. Therefore, all Plexus validator servers use software that monitors resource status, collects and analyzes logs. This approach enables us to systematize error handling, organize efficient error resolution, and ensure the reliability of the validator's operation.

Commission

Considering the level of validator protection, the presence of backup servers, and external quality monitoring services, the Plexus validator has a commission fee of 10%. The majority of this fee is used for validator maintenance. Therefore, all our delegators can trust that their stake will be in a reliable validator and they will not lose any coins as rewards.
