Decimal Update

Big Decimal Update — July 6–7

We’re rolling out one of the network’s most extensive updates in a long while: changes to the blockchain core, the infrastructure, and user-facing products. Here’s the essential rundown.

Network core

1️⃣ Rebase. We’re removing three or four zeros from DEL (the exact ratio will be announced during the July 5 live session, after the discussion). Details in our rebase research.

2️⃣ Fee oracle.
Why: so fees stay predictable in money terms instead of swinging with the exchange rate. Gas cost automatically adjusts to the DEL rate: the higher the rate, the fewer DEL per transaction, and vice versa. No more “too cheap one minute, too expensive the next.”

Infrastructure & API
— Contracts service: data routes for contracts optimized, and smart-contract source-code verification added via the API.
— withdrawHold transactions: transfer data added to the API (sender, recipient, coin, amount) — hold undelegation can now be tracked.

Decimal Wallet
— Multisig wallet in the mobile app: view and vote for/against transactions (new ones can still be initiated via Console for now).
— DRC-20 token and NFT avatars load from IPFS again — no placeholders.

Decimal Explorer
— “Locked until” field on hold transactions — see when the stake unlocks.
— Correct valuation of delegated tokens (at the price at the moment of delegation).
— “Write” tab for verified contracts: payable functions supported and reverts fixed.

Decimal Console
— In the “Delegate” tab, completed operations (Transfer, Withdraw) no longer mix with active delegations.

🔴 A reminder for everyone who deployed smart contracts on the Decimal network: send their addresses to pm@decimalchain.com by end of Friday, July 4 — otherwise they may not work correctly after the rebase. Details in the urgent message.
