Decimal Blockchain Turns 6: Year in Review
Exactly six years ago, on August 1, 2020, the Decimal network was launched. Today we congratulate our entire community on this important date: users, validators, developers, partners, and everyone who takes part in the development of the ecosystem!
The sixth year became a period of large-scale technological and economic transformations for Decimal.
⚙️ The migration to EVM opened new opportunities for the blockchain: it expanded the available functionality and created a solid foundation for integrations and partnerships with other blockchains, projects, and businesses.
📊 One of the most important events of the year was the rebase, which updated Decimal’s tokenomics. The maximum emission was reduced from 92 billion to 92 million DEL, and the current emission from 25 billion to 25 million DEL. The changes also affected how the coin’s value is displayed on charts and made Decimal’s metrics clearer and easier to read for a wider audience.
🌍 Our community keeps growing — over the past year it has increased by 17%. What is especially valuable is seeing both the growth in the number of participants and the rise in your engagement. You discuss, propose ideas, create new solutions, and help the ecosystem move forward.
🧑💻 More and more independent developers are joining the development of Decimal. We will tell you about them in detail in upcoming articles. One of the recent examples is the AI service Tunera @tunera_bot, which has implemented a large-scale integration with the blockchain. This shows once again how naturally Decimal technologies fit into real business processes and how much such solutions are in demand.
